4th of July Weekend!

We had a fun and full 4th of July weekend! Hudson and I were definitely missing Todd while he was visiting family and friends in California, but we filled the weekend with lots of activities!

Things we did this weekend:
1. Took Hudson to see his 1st movie! Went with Grandma Betsy and my niece Abby to see Up! Hudson did great!
2. Went to the Bunkers annual 4th of July party. Hudson loved watching the fireworks in the street.
3. Fed the ducks at Sugarhouse Park
4. Went to our ward 4th of July breakfast and played at the park.
5. Went to the Mcdonalds playplace and then to the Bees baseball game with some friends. That was his first sporting event as well!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend!

Hudson 22 months (almost)!

A very belated Happy Father's Day

I wanted to dedicate this post to my sweet husband, and father of our son, Todd! For those of you who know Todd, he was freaked out to become a dad. When the doctor told us we were inducing labor in two days, Todd asked him for another week to mentally prepare (which didn't happen). Over the past 21 months, Todd has become the dearest, sweetest father to our little Hudson. He has a natural gentleness with him and loves him so incredibly much. Hudson feels it, and just LOVES his Dada! I am so proud of Todd for the father he has become. I love you Toddy!

Here's a look back at my boys together:

And, of course I want to honor my own Dad. My dad is such a kind, generous, hardworking man, and I've always admired and respected him for these qualities. I love how much you love being a grandpa. I love you Dad!

(see any resemblance???)

And finally, I have the best Father-in-law a girl could ask for. You are wise, sensitive, funny, and a "tell-it-like-it-is" kind of guy. Thank you for raising your sons right! I love you Brent!

Petting Zoo at Gardner Village

I took Hudson to the petting zoo yesterday, after a "less-than-interested" experience at the Gateway fountains (which is why he is still in his swimsuit). We had a great time! He loved petting the animals, and splashing in the duck pond! These are the summer activities that I LOVE doing with a toddler!

Memorial Day Weekend 2009

The three of us just got back from Colorado where we were visiting my family for the Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time seeing everyone and spending time together. On Friday, we spent some time at the park, took a walk with Hudson, went to see the movie Angels and Demons with Kristy and Kevin, and went out for Mexican food for dinner. Saturday, we went up to our family's cabin in Grand Lake, CO where we took the boat out of storage and took a ride on the lake, had a BBQ with the fam, played a little Guitar Hero, and went into town for an ice cream cone! Sunday was church and a visit to Grandma Bullock's new condo, and Monday we came home. I won't even go into what a nightmare the plane ride home was with a toddler nearing the "terrible two's" was! But, we were picked up from the airport by Todd's loving family and had a nice dinner with them. It really was a wonderful weekend, and we feel so fortunate to have such amazing families on both sides!
